Privacy Policy for Electrical Pocket Assistant

Electrical Pocket Assistant is provided by Benjamin Marmoll (“we,” “us”). This policy explains how the app handles information you enter and save. Contact us with privacy questions at electricalpocketassistant@gmail.com.

Information you enter

You can enter electrical calculation values and name projects and saved calculations. If you save a calculation, the app stores its title, input values, result and report details, and creation/update times. Project names and saved calculations may contain information you choose to enter about a job or another person; avoid entering information you do not want stored on your device.

The app saves this information locally on your device. It does not require an account or send your saved projects or calculations to an app-operated sync service. Calculations and PDF reports are generated in the app. The app does not include advertising or analytics services.

Exporting and sharing

If you choose to share, download, or print a PDF, it may include your project/calculation names, entered values, results, dates, notes, assumptions, references, and warnings. The app hands the PDF to your device's sharing, printing, or file-handling service. The recipient, destination app, printer, or cloud service you choose may retain and handle that copy under its own policies. Review the PDF and destination before sharing it. We do not select a recipient for you.

Optional app-store reviews

After you have opened the app at least three times and complete a calculation, the app may ask you once to leave a review using Apple’s or Google Play’s review feature. The app stores an opening count and a record that it attempted the request on your device. It cannot tell whether the store showed the request or whether you submitted a review. If you choose to leave a rating or written review, the app store handles that information under its own practices; your review may be displayed publicly. We do not receive your calculation inputs through this review request.

Email correspondence

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information in your message. We use it to respond to your inquiry. Our email provider, Google (Gmail), handles the correspondence as part of the email service. We keep messages while needed to handle the request, then delete them when no longer needed, unless retention is required by law. You may request deletion of your correspondence by emailing electricalpocketassistant@gmail.com.

Storage, backups, and security

Saved records remain in the app's local storage until you delete them or clear the app's data. Device operating systems, device transfers, and your own backups may keep copies outside the app; we cannot remove those copies for you. Android builds are configured to exclude app preferences from standard backups, but device-transfer behavior may vary. On iOS, device backup settings may include locally saved app preferences. Do not rely on this app as the sole copy of a needed project.

Local records are protected by your device's access controls; this policy does not promise separate encryption of saved projects. We do not claim that clearing a visible saved item removes every prior copy from device backups, exported PDFs, or other apps.

Your choices and deletion

You can delete a saved calculation in the app. Deleting a project removes the project entry but moves its saved calculations to Unfiled; delete those calculations separately if you no longer want them. You can remove the app's local data by uninstalling the app or, where available, using your device's app-data controls. A recovery copy of malformed local data can remain in app storage until that storage is cleared. Exported PDFs, printouts, files shared with others, and device or cloud backups must be managed separately in their respective locations. Because there is no app account or app-operated project-sync service in this version, we cannot remotely delete copies stored only on your device.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or our data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. We will make the revised policy available through the app and its store listing; if a change requires an additional notice or consent, we will provide it as required.
